This has been one of the coolest Summers I have every had in New York. I don’t think we have seen the temperature above 90 degrees yet this year! And, it’s rained almost every day it seems. But, that all changed this weekend. We had a couple of those hot muggy days that lets you know it is Summer in New York. The Summer weather could not have come at a better time because it allowed a kick ass concert to take place. This concert featured R&B stars Chico DeBarge, Ginuwine, and Joe performing songs from their new albums and of course their past hits. I have to admit, I did not arrive until Joe, the headliner, was about to start, so I missed the first two performers. Seeing Joe perform was a definite treat. He has a fantastic voice and I love hearing the crowd sing with him. The hits he sang included, “I Wanna Know”, “More & More”, and “Stutter”. He also did some songs from his new album, “Singnature”. Then as a special treat the finale of the concert had Joe, Ginuwine, and Chico DeBarge back on stage doing a tribute to Micheal Jackson. The did “Human Nature”, “Rock Wit U”, and “Billy Jean”. The crowd went wild when Ginuwine busted out his Micheal Jackson dance moves on “Billy Jean”. Yesterday it was Jerry Rivera, then today we had this one. Two days with great weather and great concerts! Looks like Summer has finally arrived in New York.
